SIRONKO — Budadiri East Member of Parliament Julius Muntu Nakiyi has fulfilled a promise he made to residents of Kilulu Parish by donating a 100-seater tent to the community.
Nakiyi made the donation on Saturday, September 19, 2026, during his visit to Kilulu Parish in Bukiise Sub-county, where he was received by residents and local NRM leaders.
The tent, according to Nakiyi, was part of the commitments he made to the people during his campaign. He told residents that he had returned to fulfil the promise rather than leave it unaddressed.
“I have to donate the tent I promised Kilulu Parish during the campaigns and to share with you my salary,” Nakiyi told residents.
The donation came as Nakiyi held two rallies in Busiita and Bukiise sub-counties, where he interacted with residents and spoke about his approach to community service.
NRM leaders in Budadiri East praised Nakiyi’s record of community engagement, citing the fulfilment of commitments made to communities as part of his service to the constituency.
The MP used the gatherings to reaffirm his commitment to working closely with residents and supporting community initiatives that respond to local needs.
The activities in Bukiise and Busiita were part of Nakiyi’s continued engagement with residents across Budadiri East as he seeks to maintain direct contact with the communities he represents in Parliament.
