RUKIGA – It is a special display of family, friendship and cooperation as Kabale District Woman MP Hon. Enid Origumisiriza, popularly known as Aunt Enid, joins Rukiga District Woman MP Hon. Dr. Sylvia Alinaitwe in celebrating Dr. Sylvia’s mother-in-law, Mrs. Joy Mwanaki, as she marks 90 years of life.

The two legislators are among the distinguished guests gathered today at St. Mark Kyogo Parish in Buhangizi Archdeaconry, Kigezi Diocese, where the Mwanaki family is holding a grand thanksgiving service to celebrate the remarkable milestone.
For Dr. Sylvia, the occasion carries a deeply personal meaning. As the first daughter-in-law of the late Mwanaki, she is joining the wider family in giving thanks to God for the life of Mrs. Mwanaki, while welcoming friends and fellow leaders who have come to share in the family’s joy.
The presence of Aunt Enid adds a notable touch to the celebration as she stands alongside Dr. Sylvia during a moment centred on family, faith and gratitude.
The occasion brings the two leaders together outside the usual political setting, with Aunt Enid joining Dr. Sylvia and the Mwanaki family at an important family milestone.
Other leaders attending the thanksgiving include Rukiga County MP Hon. Patrick Kiconco Katabazi and Bushenyi District Woman MP Hon. Annet Mugisha, alongside religious leaders, relatives, friends and Christians from across the area.
The Bishop of Kigezi Diocese, Rt. Rev. Gad Akanjuna, is the main celebrant and is leading the ongoing thanksgiving service.
The celebration is being guided by the words of Psalm 23:6: “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
As Mrs. Mwanaki marks 90 years, the gathering is providing a special moment for the family to honour her life journey and give thanks to God.
With Dr. Sylvia receiving guests alongside her family and Aunt Enid standing with her on this important occasion, the thanksgiving continues in an atmosphere of prayer, love, worship and celebration.
