KYENJOJO — Mwenge Central Member of Parliament Hon. Methuselah Kasukali held a thanksgiving ceremony in Nyanjategera, Bugaki Sub-County, Kyenjojo District, on Friday, thanking Almighty God for the gift of life and his victory in the NRM party primaries and general elections.
Kasukali used the thanksgiving to celebrate what he described as a significant political milestone after emerging victorious in the NRM primaries and later being declared the duly elected Member of Parliament for Mwenge Central County.
The ceremony brought together political and cultural leaders, religious leaders and members of the community who joined Kasukali in giving thanks for his political journey.
The service was led by the retired Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, the Most Rev. Stanley Ntagali, as the main celebrant.
He was accompanied by the Rt. Rev. Reuben Kisembo, Bishop of Ruwenzori Diocese; the Rt. Rev. Barnabus Tibeijuka, Bishop of West Rwenzori Diocese; and the Rt. Rev. Edward Bamucwanira, retired Bishop of East Rwenzori Diocese.
The thanksgiving was also attended by Hon. David Bahati, State Minister for Trade, Industry and Cooperatives, who represented the Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa, the Chief Guest.
The gathering brought together leaders from different political, cultural and religious backgrounds, turning the occasion into a broad celebration of Kasukali’s electoral success.
For Kasukali, the ceremony marked a moment of gratitude as he began his new chapter as the elected representative of the people of Mwenge Central in Parliament.
