MPALA, WAKISO — Wakiso District Woman Member of Parliament Hon. Ethel Naluyima has joined hundreds of Christians, women and community leaders at Mpala Catholic Parish for celebrations marking Women’s Day.

The celebrations are currently underway, with Holy Mass led by Fr. Augustine Bukenya, as the parish community comes together in prayer, thanksgiving and fellowship.

Hon. Naluyima is the Chief Guest at the celebrations, where she has been warmly received by Christians and community members who have gathered in large numbers for the occasion.

Her presence at the parish reflects her continued engagement with the people she represents, particularly through community, faith and social activities that bring residents together.

For many of the faithful gathered at Mpala, the occasion is not only about celebrating women but also about coming together as a community in prayer and thanksgiving.

The atmosphere at the parish has been filled with joy, fellowship and celebration, with women and other Christians participating actively in the proceedings.

Naluyima’s participation also highlights her connection with community activities beyond Parliament, as she continues to join residents in moments of worship, celebration and reflection.

As the Mass continues, attention remains on the Women’s Day message and activities lined up for the celebration, with hundreds of participants gathered to honour the contribution of women to families, communities and society.

For Hon. Naluyima, being with her people remains an important part of her public service sharing their moments, listening to them and celebrating with them.
