KYEGEGWA – Kyaka Central County Member of Parliament, Hon. Bright Tom Amooti, donated a water tank to support the Muslim community at Butera Masjid Noor and surrounding residents, in a contribution aimed at improving access to water.

The donation was made during his engagement with Muslim faithful in Kyaka Central, where he interacted with community members and discussed development priorities affecting their livelihoods.

The water tank was intended to benefit worshippers at the mosque as well as the wider Muslim community, including residents in the surrounding area who could access the facility.

Amooti’s contribution highlighted the importance of supporting community initiatives that address essential needs, particularly access to water for domestic use and daily activities.

Access to reliable water remains an important component of community development, supporting household needs, sanitation and the wellbeing of residents.

The donation also complemented his engagement with the Muslim community, during which he encouraged residents to embrace government development programmes and organise themselves into groups to access available opportunities.

He emphasised the need for communities to work together in identifying and addressing local challenges, noting that collective responsibility was important in improving living conditions.

The initiative formed part of his engagement with residents of Kyaka Central, as he encouraged continued cooperation between community leaders and government structures to support development at the grassroots.
