GOMBE, BUGANDA: Betty Ethel Naluyima has congratulated the Katikkiro of Buganda and the organising committee for successfully hosting the kingdom’s Bulungi Bwa Nsi Day celebrations, praising their commitment to community service and social development.

The celebrations were organised as a pre-Independence event at the Sabawaali Gombe headquarters, bringing together people from different backgrounds to recognise the importance of community service.

Writing on behalf of Uganda’s Shadow Ministry for Gender, Labour and Social Development, Naluyima commended the Katikkiro and the entire organising committee for their efforts in making the event successful.

Bulungi Bwa Nsi promotes collective responsibility and encourages people to contribute to the wellbeing and development of their communities.

The successful event reflected the importance of service and cooperation in addressing community needs and promoting social progress.

The celebrations also brought together cultural representatives and members of the community, highlighting the role of cultural institutions in mobilising people around shared values and development initiatives.

The event provided an opportunity to encourage citizens to participate in activities that improve their surroundings and strengthen community bonds.

Naluyima praised the commitment demonstrated by the organisers, noting the importance of initiatives that promote community service and social development.
