KAMPALA – Bukooli North Member of Parliament and Shadow Minister for Water and Environment, Hon. Jamal Mukuve Ayagalachi, joined fellow National Unity Platform (NUP) members at the party’s headquarters in Makerere-Kavule to pay his last respects to fallen comedian and People Power supporter Yokana Mbuuse, popularly known as Kapere Lufotose.

Ayagalachi joined party members in honouring the deceased, whom he described as a committed comrade who actively supported the struggle for a new Uganda.

He remembered Kapere as a good friend of NUP President Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, popularly known as Bobi Wine, and a dedicated supporter of the opposition movement.

The legislator noted that Kapere’s contribution to the movement and his association with its leadership made his passing a loss to the NUP fraternity.

Kapere was known for his comedy performances and his involvement in Uganda’s entertainment industry, where he built a public profile through humour and political satire.

His association with the People Power movement also made him a familiar figure among NUP supporters.

Ayagalachi extended his condolences to the bereaved family, friends and the entire NUP fraternity, praying that God grants them comfort and strength during this difficult period.

The gathering at Makerere-Kavule provided an opportunity for party members and fellow supporters to honour the late comedian and reflect on his contribution to the movement.

Kapere’s death has attracted condolences from members of the political and entertainment communities, who have continued to mourn his passing.
