Kyaka Central — Hon. Tom Bright Amooti has today organised a community security meeting in Kyaka Parish following the recent murders of innocent people in the area, as efforts intensify to curb criminality and strengthen the safety of residents.

The meeting brought together members of the community to discuss the security situation and sensitise residents on practical measures that can help prevent further loss of innocent lives.

Amooti used the engagement to encourage residents to remain vigilant and take an active role in the fight against crime, stressing the importance of community cooperation in identifying and reporting activities that could threaten the safety of residents.
The meeting comes after the disturbing killings in Kyaka Central, which have raised concern among residents and created renewed calls for stronger security measures to protect families and communities.
During the engagement, residents were given an opportunity to discuss security concerns affecting their area and consider ways of working together with authorities to address criminality.
Amooti thanked everyone who participated in the meeting, recognising the importance of bringing community members together at a time when security concerns require a coordinated response from leaders, residents and security agencies.
He also called upon the Uganda Police Force and the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) to beef up security operations on the ground and strengthen their presence to deter criminals and protect innocent people.
The legislator’s intervention reflects growing efforts to ensure that security concerns in Kyaka Central receive urgent attention, while encouraging residents to remain alert and cooperate with security personnel.
As Kyaka Central continues to deal with the aftermath of the killings, the meeting has provided a platform for community members and leaders to collectively seek ways of restoring safety and preventing similar incidents from happening again.
