Hon. Makumbi Henry Kamya, Member of Parliament for Mityana South, has thrown his political weight behind Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, endorsing him for the presidency and expressing confidence in his ability to provide a new direction for Uganda. Makumbi made the remarks during his visit to the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) Headquarters in Naguru, where he joined supporters and leaders in championing Muhoozi’s political aspirations. Hon. David Kabanda, Head of the Chairman’s Office at PLU, was also present during the engagement.
The legislator described Gen. Muhoozi as a leader capable of carrying forward the aspirations of a new generation of Ugandans, citing the need for visionary, energetic and decisive leadership. His endorsement comes as supporters of the PLU continue to rally around Muhoozi and build momentum for his presidential ambitions.
Makumbi called for Ugandans to embrace a leadership agenda centred on national unity, economic transformation, youth empowerment and inclusive development. He maintained that the country needs leaders prepared to confront emerging challenges while safeguarding Uganda’s interests and strengthening its future.
His endorsement at the PLU headquarters further underlines his commitment to the Muhoozi camp and adds another political voice to those advocating for Gen. Muhoozi’s presidential bid. The presence of Hon. David Kabanda, Head of the Chairman’s Office, further highlighted the political significance of the engagement.
