KAMPALA – Ugandan singer Alien Skin is reportedly facing a rental dispute after allegedly failing to clear rent and water bills amounting to UGX 36 million, following claims that he has gone 12 months without making payments.

The singer is said to have been occupying a rental property whose monthly rent is UGX 2.25 million under an arrangement with the landlord.

However, according to the claims, the artist failed to fulfil his rental obligations for an entire year, resulting in accumulated arrears that have now attracted attention.

The outstanding rent is reportedly UGX 27 million, covering the 12 months during which payments were allegedly not made.

In addition to the rent arrears, the singer is also reported to have accumulated UGX 9 million in unpaid water bills, bringing the total outstanding amount to UGX 36 million.

The landlord has reportedly issued Alien Skin with a 30-day notice, requiring him to settle the full amount owed.

The notice is understood to give the singer an opportunity to clear the outstanding payments within the stipulated period and avoid further complications.

Failure to comply with the notice could reportedly prompt the landlord to pursue legal action to recover the outstanding money.

The development places Alien Skin at the centre of a reported rental dispute, although his response to the allegations and the outstanding claims has not been provided.
