NYABUSHOZI — A total of 1,366 Senior Four and Senior Six candidates in Nyabushozi have received scholastic materials, including mathematical sets and pens, in an initiative aimed at supporting learners as they prepare for the upcoming national examinations.

The materials were delivered on behalf of Hon. Wilson Kajwengye, who has continued to champion education and academic development in Nyabushozi, with a particular focus on supporting learners and addressing gaps affecting STEM education.

The distribution covered Kaaro High School with 132 candidates, Kashwa Secondary School with 46, Sanga Secondary School with 163, Lake Mburo Secondary School with 152, Kikatsi Seed School with 28, Rwenshande Secondary School with 45, X-tian High School with 24, Sedes Sapientia with 249, Bishop’s Girls Secondary School with 128, and Nyakashashara Seed School with 122 candidates.

The initiative is intended to boost academic readiness, reduce the financial burden on parents and give students greater confidence and morale as they approach their national examinations.

Speaking through the initiative, Kajwengye’s team emphasised the importance of ensuring that candidates have the basic materials required to sit their examinations comfortably and concentrate fully on their studies.

The remaining beneficiaries are Nazareth High School with 81 candidates, C.Tech International with 20, and Kinoni Community School with 97 candidates, bringing the overall number of targeted candidates to 1,287 across the listed schools.

Kajwengye has actively championed educational development in Nyabushozi, particularly efforts aimed at strengthening Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and helping learners overcome challenges that may affect their academic progress.

The field exercise was conducted by Kajwengye’s Personal Assistant, Mr Edward Asiimwe accompanied by his team who delivered the materials to the respective schools on behalf of the legislator. The initiative reflects the commitment to supporting learners and investing in the future of Nyabushozi through education.
