KAISEKENKERE, KIBAALE — Dr. Emely Kugonza, the Member of Parliament for Buyanja East County, is today hosting a broad consultative meeting with leaders from across Buyanja East County to discuss key issues affecting the constituency and the wider Kibaale District

The meeting, taking place in Kaisekenkere, has brought together leaders at different levels, including LC3 chairpersons, NRM chairpersons, district councillors, LC1 and LC2 chairpersons, as well as the NRM Chairperson for Kibaale District and the Kibaale District Police Commander (DPC).

Dr. Kugonza is using the engagement to strengthen coordination among leaders and create a common platform for identifying challenges affecting communities in Buyanja East and developing practical solutions to address them.

The legislator is expected to engage the leaders on a range of development priorities, including service delivery, infrastructure, security, education, health, agriculture and other issues directly affecting the welfare and livelihoods of residents.

With leaders drawn from different administrative and political levels, the meeting provides an opportunity for Dr. Kugonza to gather views from the grassroots and ensure that local concerns are incorporated into the development agenda for Buyanja East County.

Dr. Kugonza is also expected to emphasise the importance of unity, teamwork and constructive cooperation among leaders, noting that sustainable development requires leaders at all levels to work together in the interests of the people they serve.

The participation of security officials, including the District Police Commander, further gives the engagement a wider focus, allowing leaders to discuss security concerns and explore ways of maintaining peace and safety across communities in Buyanja East.

The meeting is part of Dr. Kugonza’s efforts to maintain close engagement with local leaders and strengthen a coordinated approach to addressing the challenges facing constituents while contributing to the overall development of Kibaale District.

As the discussions continue in Kaisekenkere, leaders are expected to come up with concrete priorities and recommendations that can guide future interventions and strengthen development efforts in Buyanja East County and Kibaale District at large.
